Our Educational Goals

Our goal here at Thompson's College of Cosmetology is for our students to understand the history, art, and most of all the science of hair, skin, and nails. Milady Standard books are used in class along with in-depth theory books.  Computer programs such as Quizlet and Cengage are used to review subject material and prepare for tests.  Two hundred fifty (250) hours of classroom training qualify the students to apply their skills on the floor with the supervision and assistance of an instructor. In addition to the classroom and hands-on experience, live demonstrations from professionals in the industry are part of the teaching curriculum.
